Recreation and Wellness Center
When I was working as a graphic designer/marketing assistant for the UCF’s Recreation and Wellness Center marketing team, we were tasked with designing as well as media marketing. We were responsible for filming content for social media and taking stock photography of our many programs and events. All designs were created for internal advertisements for programs and events hosted within the Recreation and Wellness Center and at its satellite locations/facilities.
The four main departments content was created for was Aquatics, Outdoor Adventure, Intramural Sports and Fitness.
I worked where assigned and needed, but became the main person in charge of designing for Intramural Sports and managing that program’s image/client relation.
Standard assets at the time for the team included posters, flyers, tv screen ads, social media formats, and web banners for all designs.

In-Person Leagues & Challenges
During the pandemic, we had the unique situation of not being able to stand within six feet of each other. This was a problem for our very popular intramural sports leagues. While trying to keep high spirits, the RWC wanted to provide services to its students while still adhering to restriction guidelines. They decided to host challenges where individuals competed against each other with a skillset or participated in distanced sports while masked.

Online Games / Esports Leagues
During the pandemic, UCF intramural sports pushed more virtual offerings so students could still enjoy playing games together. They introduced online board game leagues for season long offerings and weekend leagues. They pushed out more Esports/Video Games season long offerings and weekend leagues then they had in the past.
